Craig Edlund, P.E., will assume the new position of director of technical services for Alliance Water Resources. He is formerly the director of marketing and business development and will continue in his role as vice president of the company.

In his new role—a first for the company—Edlund will provide technical support for water and wastewater systems at Alliance divisions throughout Missouri and Iowa. He will also work with new district, municipal and industrial clients as part of a “transition team” of experts; assessing their treatment systems and formulating a plan to best utilize operational efficiencies and Alliance expertise.

Edlund will continue as Alliance Water Resource\'s corporate compliance officer. In that role, he oversees the company\'s exclusive Regulation Compliance Assurance Program, or ReCAP. The program is a service for the company\'s clients that provides a series of reviews, audits and notification documents to keep their water and wastewater treatment systems in compliance with environmental regulations.

A certified professional engineer, Edlund has more than 30 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry. Prior to joining Alliance Water Resources in 1993, he was with a major process equipment manufacturer and worked with water and wastewater engineers to correctly apply treatment technologies. He has also worked in water industry product development and process application, and with the Environmental Protection Agency, where he participated in stream surveys, sampled air and water discharges, and participated in compliance monitoring and field studies.

Headquartered in Columbia, Mo., Alliance Water Resources is a leading provider of professional operations and maintenance services for community water and wastewater systems in the Midwest. The company prides itself in its unique understanding of the needs of communities in Missouri and Iowa.
