Leadership Alliance Graduate is new Parkville System Manager

Shawn Middendorf is the new wastewater system manager for the City of Parkville, Mo.

As system manager, Middendorf will manage daily operation and maintenance services for the City\'s wastewater facilities. The utility is managed by Alliance Water Resources, a professional water and wastewater operations company.

Middendorf is a graduate of “Leadership Alliance,” a program for leadership in water and wastewater system operations. Alliance Water Resources kicked off the program in 2006 in response to the need for increasingly higher skill sets at the local utility level. Participants receive instruction on public project funding, workforce planning and governmental processes among others.

Since joining Alliance Water Resources in 1997, Middendorf has served as operator and maintenance mechanic and wastewater operations foreman. He holds Missouri operator\'s certifications for class “A” wastewater, class “C” collection, class “D” water and “DS-I” distribution.
