Local managers from Alliance-operated systems across Missouri are contributing their time to teach others. As part of Alliance Water Resources\' employee development program “Alliance Academy,” classes taught by experienced managers within the company round out a full schedule that ranges from supervisor basics to technical skills to team-building.

Managers and classes being taught this year include:

    • Bob Hathcock of Franklin County PWSD #1 and #3; OSHA General Industry and Construction

    • Terry Merritt of Bowling Green, Mo; Water and Wastewater Math

    • Kevin Priester of Cape Girardeau, Mo; Water Distribution and Sampling Techniques, and Hydrant and Valve Maintenance (with Distribution Superintendent Mark Skinner)

  • Phil Webster of Cameron, Mo; Activated Sludge

Students are Alliance employees from client-partner locations in Missouri and Iowa. Many plan to apply their classroom knowledge to maintain or advance state-issued operator certification levels.

Headquartered in Columbia, Mo., Alliance Water Resources is a leading provider of professional operations and maintenance services for community water and wastewater systems in Middle America. The company prides itself in its unique understanding of the needs of communities in Missouri, Iowa, Illinois and Kansas.
