Workers at Henry County Water Company were recognized recently for having no recordable or lost time incidents in 2007.

The system has been managed by contract operations and maintenance company Alliance Water Resources since 1983. Safety practices for each division are reviewed every six months as part of the company\'s overall safety program. A certificate of recognition was presented to local system manager Richard Webber during a bi-annual meeting for Alliance managers in February.

Recognized safety efforts include conducting safety meetings each month, with an emphasis on active employee participation. The Henry County Water Company team is one of eleven water, wastewater and public works management divisions to earn the certificate for the reporting period.

Headquartered in Columbia, Mo., Alliance Water Resources is an environmental management company serving community water, wastewater and public works systems in the Midwest. The company partners with communities in Missouri and Iowa to manage issues such as federal and state regulatory compliance, operator certification and capital improvement project management.
