Utility Worker I

East Sevier County Utility District, TN


This is manual and semi-skilled work involving the maintenance and repair of wastewater systems, related equipment and facilities.  The work is performed under general supervision.

Some typical job functions include:

  • Conducts periodic rounds of assigned facilities to monitor system operations, evaluate equipment performance, investigate equipment problems, determine causes, and take appropriate action as directed.
  • Performs a variety of maintenance and repair work on wastewater equipment such as pumps, meters, lab equipment, lift stations, sewer lines, man holes; assists in repair of vehicles and equipment.

Pay Range: $12-18 per hour depending on qualifications.
