Summary

This is manual, semi-skilled and skilled work involving the maintenance, repair, and operation of water and wastewater facilities and related equipment. The work is performed under general supervision with the ability to perform tasks independently. This position requires On Call duty once every 3 weeks (after training). During On Call week, employee will work Saturday – Sunday 2 hours each day to check the plant / SCADA, record plant readings and perform required laboratory testing.

Pay Range: $14 per hour depending on experience and/or certification

Preferred Qualifications

Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes; Basic knowledge of pumps and operations; Basic knowledge of electricity; Basic knowledge of laboratory operations; Basic safety knowledge

Required Qualifications

MO Class D Wastewater Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment (if not certified, candidate may be hired as a Utility Worker I until certification is obtained).
