Local Manager II

Nevada, MO


The Local Manager II provides overall leadership and management of the local water and wastewater utilities; responsible for safety, regulatory compliance, intergovernmental relations, public relations/presentations, planning, budgeting, oversight of departmental operations staff who deliver water treatment & distribution, wastewater collection & treatment, field customer service and administration. Project management and the ability to provide input to the client’s long range water and wastewater capital improvements will also be key responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

BA/BS in business, public administration, engineering or related field plus progressive utility or municipal management experience demonstrating the ability to anticipate and respond to the complexities of operational practices, ongoing capital improvements, MDNR and EPA environmental regulations, and competing interests while maintaining a stable and safe water quality for the local community. High level water and wastewater operator licenses are also a plus

Required Qualifications

Minimal overnight travel; valid driver's license
