Public Water Supply District No. 2 of St. Charles County, Missouri has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.

The award certificate was presented to the Water District by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for the District\'s latest, comprehensive annual financial report. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by the District and Alliance Water Resources, its professional operations and management provider. This marks the fifteenth consecutive year that the District has received this honor.

The Water District\'s comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate the District\'s financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the CAFR.

The Government Finance Officers Association is a nonprofit professional association serving approximately 15,000 government finance professionals with offices in Chicago, Illinois and Washington, D.C.

The Water District provides potable drinking water and sanitary sewer services to about 90,000 people in southern and western St. Charles County and portions of Warren County.
