Dennae Caquelin, wastewater system manager for the City of Parkville, Mo., has been selected as Missouri Water and Wastewater Conference\'s Northwest Missouri Wastewater Operator of the Year.

Caquelin was selected by a committee of past award winners to represent the organization\'s Northwest subdivision during a section meeting last week in St. Joseph, Mo. She was nominated by Alliance Water Resources Vice President and Director of Operations Richard Tuttle. The City of Parkville contracts with the company to operate and maintain the city\'s wastewater treatment, collection and biosolids management functions.

The award selection committee considers the type of plant under operation, demonstration of operational control, system maintenance and repair, budgeting, housekeeping, problem solving, years of service and employee supervisory skills in selecting a winner.
