Workers at the Lake Ozark/Osage Beach joint wastewater treatment plant were recognized in February for their efforts to maintain a model safety program.
The facility has been managed by Alliance Water Resources since early 2000. An award is presented every six months to the Alliance division whose safety program receives the highest ranking compared to the company\'s overall safety goals.
“Competition is getting pretty intense, so we\'re proud to have the safety award back at our facility” said local system manager Gary Hutchcraft. The Traveling Safety Award was presented during a bi-annual meeting for Alliance managers last week. Hutchcraft and his team have earned bragging and display rights for the award until July. The division also won the award in February 2006.
Winning safety program efforts include no recordable or lost time incidents, conducting mock trainings, and excellent documentation of training sessions, meetings, discussions and resulting safety improvements. The Lake Ozark/Osage Beach division is one of eleven Alliance-managed systems to have no recordable or lost time incidents in the reporting period.
